is a prayer, a place to retreat, rest and recharge through the healing potential of the natural world.
Santuario Shala is an beach front retreat center immersed in the natural beauty outside of Puerto Escondido, Oaxacan Coast, Mexico.
Set in the backdrop of the pacific ocean and the Sierra Madre Sur, Santuario shala is home to birds in motion, whales in migration and turtles laying eggs on its nationally protected coastline. Our private beach entrance is steps away from the powerful pacific ocean and multiple surf breaks. It is a place that allows us humans to be guests in the splendor of the natural world.
First and foremost, Santuario Shala, is a place of learning- learning how to reconnect to ourselves and the natural world through elemental practices seated in the wisdom of traditional medicine. Santuario shala, influenced by the healing powers of the Yoga, Ayurveda and other Vedic Arts, indigenous wisdom and pre hispanic traditions, is a place to learn how to heal- ourselves, each other and the community.
Santuario shala offers private and group healing yoga retreats, Ayurvedic Pancha Karmas, surf adventures, and just a place to rest. Our current construction features a large two story house with three bedrooms, outdoor dining area, kitchen, 2 living rooms, and massive lap pool down the middle. We also have two freestanding bungalows with private plunge pools and back gardens. All rooms feature ocean views. The heart of the space is our yoga shala, a beautiful deck over the sea we offer workshops, massage and body work treatments, trainings and educational courses to empower the next generation of healers.

Offerings
Group Retreats
Bring your group. We welcome yoga, mindfulness, movement, trainings and events from the heart. Bring your besties, cool co workers or chill family members. Capacity 10-12.
Personal Retreats
Bring yourself. Personal wellness retreats feature personally tailored yoga classes, bodywork, ayurveda, excursions of your choice and plenry of time to relax, recharge and immerse in nature.

Ayurvedic Pancha Karma
Bring the healing. Traditional Ayurvedic pancha karma techniques infused with modern and other modalities for deep healing on the physical, spiritual and mental level. Pancha karma runs a minimum of 5 days, involves pre evulation and post follow up. Please apply for more information, followed up an info call to make sure deep healing modality is a good fit for you.

This private free standing bungalow feature: king bed, front open porch with private dipping pool, ocean views, surrounded by plants and a private back garden area.
Features closet, full length mirror, overhead fan, organic cotton sheets and locally made textiles.
Ensuite bathroom with hot water, open sink, toilet and shower separated with doors for privacy and easy sharing.
* King bed can be converted into 2 single beds in advance.

Downstairs master sweet, features kinge bed with ocean view, AC with glass indoor panels, (this i room with the strongest AC) exterior patio on ground floor, and sliding door that open out onto the pool.

Ensuite bathroom with shower, toliet sink, hot water

Upstairs master suite features king bed, screened wood doors, beautiful private terraza with sweeping ocean views. AC (due to open screened design this AC is not as strong as downstairs)
Features massive closet, full length mirror, overhead fan, organic cotton sheets and locally made textiles.
Ensuite large bathroom with open double sink, toilet and shower with bathtub separated with doors for privacy and easy sharing, hot water.

Upstairs room with 2 twin beds perfect for sharing or kids, large window with great house and ocean views. AC

3rd single bed can be added.
